On weeks where I took long, relaxed rides through the back country..........I can usually squeeze JUST under 180 miles/tank. The majority of the time, I'm averaging about 125-140 miles/tank.

You must ride very similar to me, because I get pretty much the same exact mileage

People put gas in their bikes at different times, I think that contributes to the fluctuation in numbers. I know my light starts blinking at about 125miles, but there is still a lot of gas left. I usually do about 150 miles and then fill up the tank with like 3.9 gallons, so there is still about a gallon left in the tank.

Ditto on my 2004 600RR...sometimes less if I'm cranking it.

On the stock '07, I was looking at 40 - 44mpg. Now that I have the slip-on, pc3, and +3sprocket, I figure I'm somewhere in 34-37mpg range.

I don't push it past 35 miles on my blinking light. But I've done up to 60.

same here, i got the same bike with same year...I put around 11 bucks every 3 days. It takes me about 24miles one way to go to work...that's around 144 miles....I would estimate around 120 for a tank in my bike...I usually cruise around 65-70mph (it's all Highway so maybe that's the reason. but 36-38....that's not right.

I know this is a really stupid question, but what are some tips for someone new to putting gas in a motorcycle. its frustrating that I get that clicking noise every 2 seconds...Am i supposed to hold the nozzle back and pour in slowly til it touches the bottom of the metal bracket that hangs into the tank? I've put gas in my bike 3 times now but i dont think im getting a full tank out of it. I've searched online and found noddle adapters and such that make it easier to fill, but nothing about what to do without one.

(i feel retarded for asking if it makes any difference)

I mean when I fill up I dont just stick the whole nossle in the tank. I kind of leave it out a bit till I can see the gas filling up. I usually stop when it reaches the silver ring. You should know when you have a full tank because of your gas gauge. The bars should go all the way at the top and then your full.
