So i bought my 2001 F4i in July 2011 from a guy and it had fairing damage from when he dumped it but it was my first bike so i did not care. When the bike was low sided, it scratched the whole left side including nose fairing, left fairing and tail as well as scratching the stator cover, and ripping off rear peg. The fairing bolts that were used were four different kinds. The exhaust that is currently on it has melted the plastic, hence he fabricated one from an atv. It had no mirrors, needed a new front and rear tire and chain and sprocket. 2 months after having the bike i needed to replace the fuel pressure regulator and the CCT a few months after that. After riding for almost a year i thought it was time to get new fairings to look like an experienced rider. I planned on getting new fairings with this years taxes, but Uncle Sam took all $1k+ that i was going to use for them and put it towards my student loans that i am paying. So to wrap this all up, i have put a lot of money towards parts and labor and run dry. So with this submission i hope i can win over your decision.
thanks

I want to throw myself into the mix, but in all honesty, i think Tuxly deserves it.

Thanks! Much appreciated. I had my explanation posted explaining my whole situation, what forum I'm on primarily (nothing against this one), but it got removed with the other posts.

Gl to all, may the most rashed CBR win!

Well here's my contribution. Its a 2007 CBR600RR that I'll be spending a good bit of time returning to excellent condition. The last owner lowsided on the track, every piece of plastic was zip tied, had a hole in it, or was cracked. It's going to be a great project. Spring break is next week, let the work begin! Headlights have been purchased, and hopefully by tonight I'll have new rearsets and passenger pegs!

edit: These photos don't really reflect the damage so well. I'll get some more pictures. Also, if you look closely the previous owner sprayed the OEM windshield with VHT nightshades. the paint cracked on him and ended up looking like junk. Lucky me, I got to deal with it. I wetsanded with 400, then 1000 grit and polished. Its still a little foggy, once I have time I'll resand with 1000 grit and 1500-2000 grit then re-polish. New pictures up shortly!

It's got some cracks in the fender, scratches on both sides, original color was red, but previous owner put black on it...

OK y'all, this contest being offered by the sponsor is a great opportunity for a lucky member. Let's not show ingratitude to the sponsor with unnecessary, immature posts.

So if you wish to enter in this contest, please do as asked: post a pic illustrating why your bike deserves a free set of fairings. Any more posts similar to the ones that have been deleted will also be deleted and the author will face escalating bans + future post moderation until they prove their ability to follow the Code of Conduct again.
