Default RE: frame sliders

I have done both the no cut and the normal kind. the no cut not only didnt help any, when it broke, it ripped the fairing, and since it clamped to the frame, it gouged the hell out of it, which required sanding and repainting the frame. could have been worse and bent the frame.

also have done the laser method, one word of caution, make sure that the laser is at a 90degree angle to the bolt. when I did my last set, I didnt realize it, but I had my bike at a slight angle to the tripod. when I cut the hole it was off center by about a 1/4inch becuase of the angle.

I was way scared to do mine. I was going to take it to my dealer and pay them to cut and put on the vortex. but I just decided to do it one afternoon and save $100. it wasn't bad and they turned out nice. I put on the vortex sliders.

I cut mine and a strong 1/16 over all the way around and just bought some rubber tubing at auto part store, sliced it down the center= INSTANT GROMET, clean look plus not tight in the event that goes down (HOPE NEVER)
