Default FRAME SLIDERS

Any preferences for Frame Sliders and where to purchase? Also does anyone know if they sell in a set with both the Frame Sliders and Swing Arm Slider Spools? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I was told LSL are the best because they are the mushroom type and they slide on rocks in gravel.

I am looking to get sliders as well. I hear sliders made from delrin are the best. Also make sure they get screwed in and not just bolted on.

vortex sliders...

I lay my bike down like 4 times a week stuntin an **** tryin slow stuff, and they are still good.

Me and one of our crew members are rockin the vortex, and they are BY FAR THE BEST. Ive had friends thats had their sliders snap and break their fairings... Trust me, vortex hasnt done anyone wrong from what ive heard or experienced.

lemme know if you want them ill give you a price, and we'll price match here at our shop... laytaz.

Just got my RR the other day. Looks like you have to cut holes in the plastic?

Yup. 600RR's need "Fairing Modification." Sucks cause my buddy has an Aprilia and his Frame Sliders look like they belong on the bike. They fit perfect and out of the way. I'll be getting mine in today or tomorrow and don't look forward to having someone cut into my fairings. However, I try and remember that in the long run it will be worth it in case I dump my bike.

You do indeed need to cut the fairing..we do it here at our shop, and really clean.

I just picked up a new 05 CBR600RR black and tribal, love it. I've been checking into frame slidders and read that you have to cut the fairing. Doing this kinda defeats the purpose, right? All the slidders save you from is a simple drop. If you're actually riding and lay it down, the slidders will flex enough and crack the fairing. Has anyone ran into this?

There is a big misconception here!

These things are called frame sliders. These are designed to protect the frame in the event of a crash by allowing the frame to slide. They are NOT designed to protect the fairings. The fact that it may protect the fairings in the event of a crash is just an extra. Depending on these to protect your fairings will eventually disappoint you.
