Just needing to know which side each frame slider goes in (03 600rr)? One slider is longer on the end than the other and my K&N filter will not fit[:@]. Will bending the metal tabs be the best bet for sliding the filter back futher?

the filter should fit, what filter did you get? Is it HA-6003

 

Thanks for the info. The HA-6003 is the one I bought. It is so close to fitting but the metal tabs seem to hold it just to tight. I don't really want to bend the tabs because the stock filter fits perfect and if at all else I'll stick with it, but I like the reusable filters. I'm going to try it again today, hopefully not to break anything or knock the bike over.

 

Don’t joke about knocking over the bike... bad karma, it'll happen. When I replaced the stock filter with the K&N, it fell right in place. Maybe the filter is defective?

 

It didn't fit so I'm going to call K&N and get it replaced. I'll call them on their Million mile warranty. Hopefully, they'll keep up to their warranty.

 

I called K&N and they are sending me a new filter and it should be here in a week. They said they had a few filters that were molded wrong and maybe that mine is one of them. So if anyone has a problem like this call K&N and get a new filter.
