But if the OP is looking to do something like yours then that's cool, my mental pic was way off.
I think you might be right, after re-reading her description. Might need to clarify what you're looking for RRchic, but I think Dub is right - a license plate // led combo sounds dangerous. Get a well known kit.

Something like this is what me and a friend were thinking of. Dual LEDs top and bottom and the sides are amber LEDs for turn signals.

RRChic - Where do you plan on mounting the plate as it will make difference on how noticeable it is?

If it was me I would not use that as my only brake light and turn signals. I don't know how bright those LED's are and I just don't think people are going to be on the lookout for that because it is a different design. Now I do think that is pretty cool if you used it with an integrated brake light/turn signal setup. Just my

That is kind of cool. I too would be slightly concerned on its visibility // it clearly appearing to be the brake lights / turn signals though. If you do get it, post up some pics and be the Guinea pig.

I would still probably suggest going with a standard fend elem.

I've looked up pictures of this plate on other bikes and about 90% of them are mounted with a stock light so if I do get one it may just have the braking LEDs and I'll stick with some shorter LEDs for turn signals. I may not get it done right away but maybe an add on. Thanks for all the help.

Do the 03-06 light mod for the tail then handle up on the signals how ever you need.. looks FRESSSSHHH IMO! I have an 05 so I had no issues with integrated lighting.. I'll post up of my home brewed kit ... but I have ridden for two seasons with no flak from LEO's and my plate location is wayyyyyyyy beyond legal in terms of deffinition .. but I checked with my local officers after doing my mods and had them check my bike out to tell me if it was legal and if they would think I would get in trouble... got the thumbs up from the DOT officer, PD, and a stater.. if you do anything of the like I would go find your local on duty officer and have them inspect it for you in a parking lot..
