I got a kit in my 2006. It has the spanner wrench for the shock, pliers, plug wrench, screwdriver, allen key and a couple things can't remember right now.

all i got with mine was the 5mm allen and the helmet strap so i took the tool kit from my f4i that was totaled and put it in the tail in the little pockets in the tail

 

I must have gotten ripped off, because I don't have the toolkit for my 03. It's funny though, they put a lock on the toolkit! If someone starts taking apart my bike (pulling the fairings off) I don't think they are looking to steal my toolkit.

 

I'll post a pic of my toolkit once I get my bike from the service.

I actually called Honda and ask about this because we had so many questions on here about it.

Honda does not include a tool kit in the 06 models because "they are trying to save you money". Surveys revealed that none of us like or use the tools they provide so they took it out. A dealer can at his/her option buy tool kits and add them to the package deal so if you get one, you're lucky, but if you don't.... the dealership is not screwing you over.

You can use the part code/# in the cataloge to order parts from the dealer, I do this to order my parts.
