Default Factory toolkit for 2006 CBR600RR

Hi Guys,

I was looking for my toolkit this weekend on my new 2006 CBR600RR... Does Honda still include a toolkit with this bike?? The dealer said not for 2006... are they right??

Thanks!

Cheers,

Ray

its on the right handside of the bike if your sitting on it, and its under the fairing. mine didnt have anything in it. its kinda useless tho. cause to get to it u need to take the fairing off. so if u brokedown and needed a tool or something, your still screwed.

the tool kit is still in the 06 (mine is there) and all you need is a small screw driver to take the fairing off. i stuck a small phillips head under my back seat to remove the screw. Then, all you need to do is pop off a clip. Very easy.

Thanks for the response!

I got to it on the road by pulling the plastic pin up on top of the middle fairing, and using a quarter to turn the big screw then you can use your key to open the toolbox.

I guess the dealer is trying to rip me off... he told me that Honda stop including it in 2006, but they can order the 2005 emergency toolkit for me...

Cheers,

Ray

I heard some people didn't get one with their '06, but if you do have one, it's behind the right fairing like steve said. You don't need any special tool to take off the fairing, just a simple quarter will do. Half a turn and it's off, then pull the fairing back a bit and slip your key into the lock (it only goes in about halfway) and voila!!

Hey Guys,

What is included in your 2006 toolkit if you have one?

If you have an 05, what tools are in that kit?

I can't seem to find any information on what is included.

Thanks!

Cheers,

Ray

For '06, the tool kit contains a 5mm allen wrench and a cable for your helmet to lock under your rear seat cowl. That's it.
