Default EXHAUST QUESTIONS AGAIN!

Ok, so I KNOW that it's an EVERYDAY topic on here. And I have talked about this before and got told NOT to....but, I heard a guy with a "GUTTED" stock muffler today, and it actually...sounded GREAT! Lots better than hearing my ENGINE, CHAIN, ETC...!!!!! My only thing is, HOW DO I DO IT????!?!?!?!?!?!? Can someone tell me?

This topic has been covered a lot over at 600rr.net.......I tried it. I bought a 14" long 5/16 drill bit and put it directly down the pipe and put about 10 holes in that baffle you can see at the end. Some people buy a long punch and put holes in it. It sounds a little different but nothing near a decent slip on. Ive heard about some mod where you put two holes on the bottom of the OUTSIDE of the can, but not sure about that one. Id just buy a slip on. I have one ordered and just tried the drill to see what would happen.

well, I WOULD buy a slip on, if the funds were around to do so! That's the ONLY reason I haven't picked up one yet! But, THANKS for the info, I went there and did a little research. Just got done doing it! I didn't have what I SHOULD'VE had to do the job, but I made it work! NUMEROUS small holes, then knocked out in between them! No slip on, but it's alot better than stock!
