Default Is an exhaust and programmer really worth it?

I've been reading up on both the pc3/5 and the juice box. That along with exhaust. From what i'm gathering you lose mpg, but gain about 5whp. Any thoughts on how useful these tools are? I'm thinking of just getting a slip on, but don't want any popping sound. Any advice would be appreciated.

Well. I have an 03 600RR and supposedly stock they are around 98hp. Last dyno run I had I was pulling 102.7hp. So that's about 5 hp. That's with an Arata Slip On, PCIIIUSB, and Vortex stacks.

The key to a PC is to have it tuned for your bike. I hear that the preloaded maps can actually lose you hp. I have a slip-on on my bike and I don't get a poping sound. Personally I don't see the advantage of getting a PC. You will never be able to notice what very slight increase in power that it might get you, plus our bikes are stupid fast as is. Buy if you're going to get one, go the extra step and get it tuned for your bike.
