everything is okay dokie
well about a other post i had i figured out that i do have .4 miles ono my bike its just my dad i just hit the trip button and so it didnt register the first mile..but yeah all good there. but i did have a other question about the headlights. can i legally run both running light and high beam. or do i just ride at night with the one left on one?. and does anyone have a graph of when the gearin runs out. like when first is at redline(mph wise.lol i kno when its at rpm wise) and what not. jsut so i kno what i can down shift into with out gettin a nice supprise.
and have the 06 model changed any that we know of? or is its the same as 05. and is there any dyno sheets out there for the 06.
thx for help, steve

I don't know of a gearing chart, but from what I've read you only have 1.4 miles on your bike total, so don't think about redline yet. Shift at or below 6K for the next 500-800miles. After that, it's up to you when you want to shift. You'll figure it out. If I'm riding hard its around 10-11k. If I'm cruising it might be 6-8K.
The '05 and '06 are identical except for paint. I can't prove it, but I've heard that a stock 600RR will get you around 100hp.
05 and 06 are the same.
I adjusted my high beam so it's level with the low beam. This lets me run both lights. I only did this because I'm Navy and have to deal with gate guards daily. The SOB's would lecture me for having a head light out and they can and will turn you around for ignoring safety items like lights. I tried showing them the right is high beam only and turned it on the show some of them. I usually got a reply of "I didn't ask you to be a smart ***... I said fix your head light. Next time I'll turn you around." I have to go to work... and you can't stand there and argue with them... they will always win and I'll be late for work. Late is not an option for military guys.
I don't know the graph you are looking for, but for down shifting (or engine breaking as some like to call it)... you need to learn how to feel the bike instead of looking at the tach. Ease out the clutch and feel for the grab. If it's too much... squeeze the clutch. Once you ride for a while, you'll have a better feel of this bike and what speeds you can shift in. I'm not saying you don't have experience. You have to learn this on each bike you ride cause they're all different.
