Default Ebay Forks

Hey there,
I just bought some 06 600rr forks off ebay that the seller promised, "had not come of a crashed bike and that they were low milage". The forks were delivered to my house on Monday and I measured the length of them and the right one appears to be about a half inch shorter than the left. Does this mean that the one is bent? Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

If a bend made one that much shorter it would be a hell of a bend.

try standing them up in the operating postition to let the fluid settle since they were probablyshipped laying down. Also, after a few hours, cycle them, then re-measure.

yeah try to pull them out all the way and let the oil settle if it shrinks back down youll need to have the thing stuff full of oil and resealed i would imagine.... you can also try adjusting the preload but i dont think that would turn low enough to make it a lot lower like you are discribing.

Okay so I left the forks standing upright for the entire day and then pumped the shorter fork a couple of times and it still stayed the same height. How would I go about "stuffing it with oil"? Take off the cap and just pour more oil in or should I take it to a shop and have them do it? If there's special tools required then I probably wont try and tackle it myself. Thanks so much for all your guys' input, thats why I love this site!
