On the 1kRR ya just hold down the right button til it starts blinking on the hour. Right button changes time - left button goes to the next setting (minutes, MPH, temp, etc). Just turn the bike off after you got what ya want then turn it back on and it'll be set.

On my '03 you have to hold the right and left buttons down until the number starts flashing!

Do you know what RTFM stands for?

READ THE FRICKIN' MANUAL!

I also have to hold both buttons down on my 05 600RR. I learned how to do that by Reading TFM.

So what have we learned boys and girls? Everyone's bike is different isn't it? But they all have something in common don't they?
THEY ALL HAVE A FRIKKIN MANUAL

LOL...i have a manual...and if you don't, i just want to know: IS IT STOLEN? anywho, i have the '04 600 and you DO hold both buttons and than you should be able to figure it out from there. Now, at this point if you can't figure it out just give the guy his bike back.
