Default Do these lower cowl panels look right?

these are up for sale but the listing says its for "04-07 cbr1000 lower cowl" and the seller says "may fit other years/model check with your dealer or somebody knowledgeable to find out"

im pretty sure that these are the 600 lower cowls, arent the cbr1000's different? also these look EXACTLY like the ones on my 05 600RR,

what do you guys think? want to make sure before i buy them

Google image search shows those are nowhere close to the 1kRR's parts - you are correct - they appear to match a 2005 600RR perfectly though.

yeh i knew right away, apart from the fact that it looks exactly like my 600rr's fairings, when i did a search on the 1000rr's fairings the right side is way bigger, and its almost like 2 pieces together.

now time to negotiate with this guy. He wants $100 for the set, that sounds like a good price to me, but then again i never had to buy fairings before so i dont know what cost what. Would offering him 75 be to low?

not at all. i always negotiate when buying stuff off craigslist or wherever from another individual. worst case scenario is that he says no and you pay him the $100. $75 would be a fair offer, if he takes it then you saved yourself $25 otherwise try settling for 80-90.

I enjoy trying to negotiate with people and have gotten myself some real good deals that way so never be afraid to offer people less than what theyre asking (they usually list it higher anyway to leave some room to be talked down to a price youll both be happy with).

guy did't budge, he would only take 75 if i picked it up (place is 70 miles from my house) 140 miles round trip with gas prices so high its about the same, so i just gave in and forked over the 100. I did't want to wait and have somebody else ****** them up (the sale was on ebay).

dammit!
