did the msf class this weekend
i finaly did the msf course this weekend and all i can say is how benificial it was. i took the beginer rider course (partly cause i just wanted to get my endorsement at the end of the class and for insurance breaks, but also i didnt what to have to use my bike) and even though i have rode bikes for a few years it was awesome. the most benificial part for me was learning how to go over things in the road. i never even imagined what going over some 2x4s would be like on a street bike and doing it in the class makes me super comfortable with knowing what it feels like. i highly recomend the msf courses to anybody, you will definatly learn stuff, even if you think you wont. on the plus side, i didnt have to take the written or riding test at the mvd to get my endorsement, a definate plus cause im pretty sure i would drop my bike on myself doing the damn figure 8 in there parking spot space. i barley made it on the zx 250 i was on, and that things a little toy.

RE: did the msf class this weekend
I did the course back in July. It was free and I have it for my base decals. I used my 600.. the s-curve and "box" was easy. There were about 3 cruiser and 5 sportbikes. One cruiser had a problem because it was an 1800cc Harley. The course is too slow for him to idle through anything. Myself and another guy on a CBR600 ran the course like pros. Never had to touch down or any close drops. Two twin gixxers (boyfriend/girlfriend) never made the "box" and we always touching down. An a girl that traded her ZX6 up to a ZX1000 .... she was funny. Never made the s-curve, "box" and almost never had her feet on the pegs. Here's the sad part.. everyone passed. They said it was a confidence builder and will not fail anyone that really tries.
