Default Decent price for a new 2006 cbr600rr

Looking around on the internet at a few local shops in my area I found one with a couple new bikes from 2006. They had a couple different bike which interest me cbr600rr, cbr600f4i, cbr1000rr, and a rc51. Only thing is they have them all listed at their msrp. I was curious what u guys think a fair price would be. Looking specifically at the cbr600rr listed for 8999 kbb has a retail price of a used at about 5000. What would u guys think would be fair. Very interested in these to get lower price in a great bike with warranty on Honda card(no insurance required).

If they're trying to sell them at MSRP for a model that is 8 years old they're a little whacky. Even if it was still the same model year dealers don't get MSRP for them. Are they trying to get MSRP for their 2014 models?

Anyway, brand new 2008 1000RR's were selling for slightly less than $7k at one time in the fall of 2009 with factory rebates. Keep that in mind when they try to sell that leftover 600rr for $8999.

Would you think that 6000 would be a fair deal on the cbr600rr. I would definitely not want to pay the msrp for a machine that's 8 years old just to drive it off the lot and loose 4000 on value instantly.

I dont know what area/state or province you live in, but a used 2006 CBR600RR is definitely not worth $5000! I live in Atlantic Canada where prices are higher than rest of Canada which is higher than the US, and i bought a used '06CBR600RR FOR $3,000 WITH 23,000KM (14,000mi) on it and needed less than $300 of work done (new front tire, new suspension link and kickstand it was lowered, and license plate light and a couple of missing fairing bolts here and there)
