i have the same "rattle" noise on my bike, shanged the oil still did it, added a little extra oil and it still does it, started last year bike still runs strong... the dealer ship said its a "normal" engine noise...
the lines ur talking about are the min. and max. marks, as long as the oil is between the two your good to go, i prefer to beas close to the max. line as i can get just incase i develope a minor leak and need to limp the bike home
