Question Clutch and Stator covers

Does anyone know if the 2006 cbr 600rr have gaskets for the stator and the clucth covers? I went to the the local honda dealership and they didnt have anything on it. Didnt know if someone made an after market gaskets and where i could get them.

What dealer did you go to that they didn't know? NEVER go back to that dealer if they didn't have the common knowledge to know that you put a bead of Honda Bond on there and it creates a gasket for you.

I presume you could also go to any auto parts store and get a RTV "Gasket Maker".....but I'm not 100% sure it'll work the same because I've never used it on my bike. But Honda Bond works GREAT!

I went to Ted's Motorcycle World. Where can i get the Honda bond at? I m going to assume they don't know **** for the fact they didn't offer it to me. My bike is leaking oil like that's its job i am trying to get it to stop. i have been siliconing the dick off it and it some how still seems to leak.

^^ What type of silicone have you been using (is it blue RTV?).......and did you pull off the entire cover, clean both surfaces with rubbing alcohol, apply sealant to both surfaces, and bolt down in a staggered formation? Or are you applying the silicone over where it's leaking (because that usually never works)

I get Honda Bond from my dealer (and since my local dealer is completely utterly incompetent, I drive 70 miles to MY dealer where I bought my bike from).

Here's a pic and a place to get it. I would go with the Honda Bond HT unless you have some irregular or scratched surfaces on either side of the gasket surface.........which would probably do good with Honda Bond 4.

I have just been using regular gray silicone from auto zone. I have cleaned both surfaces but only applied it to one surface but i did bolt it down in a "crossing" formation. Thank you for the link and your help.

If you are going to use aftermarket sealant (perfectly fine), get some high-temp RTV gasket maker. It's in a red tube. That's the stuff I would use.........but that Honda Bond is incredible stuff though. Would definitely check into that.

^^ There are no gaskets.......it's just a seal from a tube. Make sure it's high-temp RTV gasket maker or Honda Bond HT.
