Default Clutch cable broke

Ok so i was riding around the other day and when i pulled out of a parking lot and shifted into 2nd, it felt as if something happened to my clutch. I then had trouble shifting gears and luckily i made it home. After checking things out i found that my cable that connects to my clutch lever had broke half way off!? I got my bike brand new in August of 07. I checked out my warrenty and everything but the cable and clutch lever is covered...so that sucks

I did a little research and found that clutch cables will only run me about 15-20 dollars but im not too sure on how to put one on and i dont feel like dropping an extra $60 just for labor fees at the dealer. If anyone could help, i would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks

take out the old one...just open the bolt thats on the right side of the engine cover and pull it out from lever side..
if you dont know where that is..try this:-
play with the clutch and keep an eye on the right side near the tool box..u will see something moving..lol

put the new one in the wire cover from the lever side..
that should be it!!

tighten it and there should be like a little freeplay in the clutch..ride it and see if you need to change the freeplay...
