Default ? On changing stator cover ...

End'd up laying my 06 CBR 600RR down on its left side...

Cracked the stator cover, and a few other miscellaneous pieces..

Since the stator cover requires no gasket, what kind of sealer is recommended before I put the stator cover back on...
Also will an 05 stator cover be fine w/ my 06 CBR 600RR ?

Also, I have no clue what exactly the pipe going to the radiator is supposed to look like on the left side. but im pretty sure the fall pinched the piping ... unless its supposed to have that flat pinched look, or is it supposed to be round all the way from the radiator to the motor...??? ANY information or help would be greatly appreciated.

Just some high temp RTV will do. Honda makes some good stuff.

yes a 2005 cover will be fine.

Use Honda-Bond, semi-drying liquid gasket (or Yama-bond, or Ducati-bond, doesn't matter it's all the same stuff, made by the same people, permatex I think).

Yes the 05 cover will work.

No, on the Left side the the Pipe going to the radiator should be round.

PLEASE!!! PLEASE!!!! DO NOT USE high temp RTV. That is NOT what it is made for. Go with Jason748's advise. Use a CASE SEALANT made by Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, or Kawasaki. All of them are practically identical and were DESIGNED for that purpose. As an aircraft mechanic I am BEGGING you......USE THE CORRECT TOOLS AND CHEMICALS FOR THE JOB!!!!!


Case in point. Here is an example of a 125cc GP race team that had engine problems and what they found out.

Bike didn't start well (it would bog before it revved to life), had little to no power off the line, and was stumbling and stalling randomly. Previous engine assembler used incorrect case sealant. Engine was leaking air, which caused the bike to run rich. The bottom end was full of muck as well (joy!). Engine assembled properly (go figure!).
