It's not even going to be close. Go out in the country and shut him up if you want. Is he aware your bike has like 30 more hp?

30hp more? More like 40-45 hp more

71hp to the crank would be around 60whp if not a little less. a 600rr puts out ~105whp.

I would put it like this:

The advantage a 1000rr has over 600rr is comparable to the advantage a 600rr has over a 650r in terms of HP, not displacement

good site, so my new 07RR loses in the quarter to my old 02' F4i by 2 tenths??? not that it matters, a tenth here a tenth there, depends on the rider weather etc

yea I definitely wouldnt think much of the 1/4 times. The rr's are mid 10sec bikes

I have owned both bikes. My first bike was an 07 Ninja 650R. He will lose. It is a nice bike, but there is no comparison. The Kawasaki is heavier too.
