this guy has a 2006 650r ninja and i have a 2007 cbr600rr. he said if we raced he would b in 1st till about 50mph because of all the low end tork but i thought my bike being made 4 speed he wouldnt have a chance but anyway we r talking bout racing about a country block or about 2 city blocks. anyway i was just wanting to c what every1 else thought???? i dont know much bout racing so just some honest opinions o also the bikes r stock besides exhaust

i raced a 07 650 ninja on my 05 cbr 600rr and i decimated him from about 15 feet off the linetil 136mph when his bike stopped accelerating....and im slow off the line (the nice thing bout a 650 ninja is no power so u can dump the clutch off the line)

he did beat me off the line ...but like i said only 15 feet at best....i blew past him b4 i shifted to second...

no condoning racing but if the opportunity presents itself ...

i sense there MIGHT be a little flaming.... ill second that, no racing on the street, just the track, its not worth the ticket, crash damage, physical damage, just to see if your bike is .001s faster than his over a 50cc displacement....

besides, one of you might be able to launch off the start better than the other

lmao no flaming intended...the 650s use a parrelell twin something engine (like the ex500s) its a very stable reliable engine , just not the most powerful in stock form...im no expert by no means i just happen to have a friend who has one and my ex500 was a very good race for the 650...

with equal riders you would destroy him. but who knows, you could get a bad launch.

some kid tried to tell me his fz6 would destroy my bike, they are quick, but a race bike they are not.

if you launch it right his low end torque won't matter, because the only thing that will limit your bike off the line is how fast you can let the clutch out and get on the gas without looping

oh yeah, and yadda yadda street racing is bad yadda yadda.

The 650r and it's 2 cylinders is a joke compared to the 600rr. It's redline is lower, and compression is much lower.

The ninja is the severe underdog..

I had several head to heads with one on the way home the other night on my o6. If ur not a bike lenth half way through 2nd you got a dud bike mate. Just ride it like ya stole it and you should'nt have a problem-at all

Go 4 it!!!

Ditto! i actually ride w a friend of mine who happens to have a ninja 650R, and she hates it lol. I got a chance to ride it ( all be it just in a parking lot, ouch what a dissapointment, and that was coming off my old F4i)

I mean lets face it most bikes are simular off the line, but you may as well say someone in say a GTI would take someone in a Viper SRT-10 ..... aint gonna happen LOL
