CBR600RR Exhaust
Hi.
I have a 2004 CBR600 RR with a Micron exhaust. It breaks about 1/2 way from the headers. It sounds nice, but I was just wondering if there is something louder out there or that sounds better? Does like a YoshimurA RS-5 sound better ? I know Ackrapovic are super good exhaust but they almost sound like a deeper tone than the Yoshi pipes. But I was wondering what everyones opinion was.

when looking into exhaust for my bike. local dealership said the only BIG difference between slip-on and full exhaust system is HP... they said if you're not looking for the extra HP they HIGHLY recommend going slip-on... but that is one local places opinion...

but the local place said sound difference is not much and unless u have 1 with slip-on and 1 with full next to each other you almost cant tell the difference... also agreed... a slip-on expensive exhaust is like 400-600 depending if u buy ebay or dealership... or a full exhaust is like 800-1400 again depending if u buy from sumwhere like ebay or sumwhere like a dealership...
then ontop of full exhaust... u need to like he said... power commander which i heard is VERY involved if u do it yourself... ontop of costing like... correct me here im sure im wrong but like 300... then another 300 to install.. or i never heard of ecu flash... but i heard u can dyno it... which is also a few hundred bucks... just hoping to help with pricing and what not.

I mean, a slipon bike will sound good. but no where near as good as a full system.
Its a big difference. Even more apparent when you're next to someone with just a slip.
Yoshimura full systems can be found for around the 7XX-1000 dollar range.
And correct you can either get a dyno tune, or get a powercommander. PC5's are around the 250-300 dollar range.
If you can install yourself or find a friend you can get a full system for around a grand if you shop around.
