ok was told that

It sounds as if there isn't enough resistance (Power draw) to trip your flasher relay. This usually happens if you have LED's on the front and rear or you are only running one set of lights.

There could be several solutions to this:
1. Add resistors to increase the resistance and trip the relay.
2. get a flasher relay that doesn't care about current drop
3. add more lights to draw more electricity.

can someone point me into the right direction

this makes a lot of sense. when i bought the bike the gauge cluster would go out due to the fuse blowing. i took the bike apart and found a set of lights hooked to the ked turn signals. so i disconected them and the speedo is fine and has been for over 1000 miles. havent blown a fuse yet. but now the signals are static, they dont blink , well sometimes they do but 9 out of ten they dont. solution?
