RE: Best Windshield
Double Bubbles are nice. They tend to push theair up almost over your also, as apposed into your body or face. Just depends on what you like though.
Zero Gravity, Puig, Memphis, Sportech, LP, etc. Just depends on the look. I have heard a few horror stories about ZG though, with them melting your gauges and cluster rubber and what not.. Good Luck
As for frame sliders, same thing. Just dont get any of the not cut though. .... I've seen those fail misserbly. But Vortex is pretty good, LP,Ricochet, what ever you like. Just go ahead and spend the extra $20 on the good ones and dont skimp out on cheap sliders.

Pretty much EVERY manufacturers CLEAR Double Bubble windscreen can melt or deform the clear plastic on the gauge face, but the the colored and smoked windscreens will not.
Personally I'm not very fond of Puig, they more brittle than most. I currently use ZG double bubble's and IMHO, think they have the best screen for the money.
Frame sliders ...... As far as I'm concerned there are only two brands (that make them for a 600RR), and I've used (i.e. crashed) just about every popular "race type" slider out there.
Euroracing Sliders, available thru Yoyodyne
Woodcraft Sliders, available thru Woodcraft

RE: Best Windshield
It is not the brand that is causing gauges to melt, it is just the way the sun reflects off of the shield. This has even happened with a stock, clear winshield to a few people on this forum. It has also happened with the tinted windshields and the one I purchased even came with a warning about this.
I have a Puig and like it for the most part. It is a nice, thick shield with a good dark tint, but it didn't fit flush with my daytime running light on my 1000 (the small light at the bottom of the windshield. I still like it despite that flaw.
I also like Zero Gravity for the fit, but it is a thin windscreen when comparing it to the Puig.
If possible, go to a dealership to compare them for yourself to see which one you like best.
