Wanted to see what the consensus was on the brightest bulbs to replace the stockers...

I'm talking using stock equipment, only changing bulbs, I heard silverstars are the brightest.

 

the brightest are going to be whichever ones have the most wattage. i've seen 90W bulbs in H7, but they have a very short life and are really really hot.

that would be your brightest alternative.

 

i got the silverstars in mine, pretty bright, much bette than stock

 

how long have they/do they last???

 

Don't waste your money on Sylvania Silverstar bulbs unless you are simply looking for a "whiter-looking" light outpu, but keep in mind that those bulbs actually produce less light than their clear-lensed counterparts.

Without going to HID, your best bet is a +30 or +50 bulb. However, these are sometimes difficult to find stateside and may have to be ordered online.

 

i've had my silverstars for 2 years now and are still going strong...i like they way they look at night, not a blue tint but a clear light
