I have a similar problem. When i first got my bike, I would start it off and start riding and everything would be fine. Then sometimes, not all the time, but every once in a while I would pull up to a stop sign or light and the bike would just randomly shut off. Hasn't done it in a while but like i said it only happens eevry once in a while. any thoughts?

ahhh, i was coming back from class, stopped at the mailbox, shut the bike off, and it struggled to crank.... then i got back on it, ran to the apt. office, was in there for maybe 5 minutes, got back out side, and my bike wouldn't crank, so i had to roll it off! urghh.... battery is fine, so ian evans, you think its the starter?

its quite possible, u see the bikes warm so everythings at a low viscosity (oil thin) and flows easy unlike a cold bike it would be gunked up and takes a bit to tick over,
so maybe the battery has a bad cell or its got low amps
alarmsin cold weather are nasty too
the brushes in the starter motor can get gunged up over the years too
or the charging system might be faulty
first try and borrow a battery (fully charged)
if it happens with your battery swap them over then try
you'll notice how fast it starts then its ok
if it doesnt its the starter
take it out and give it a good clean a light cleangrease will protect from corrosion (**** happens)
after a while if the problem accours its the charging system
not your original battery
hope that helps
thts all i know
im getin the hang of thislearning hahaha

Im not quite sure. It's been a while since i have been on its cause of school, weather, and trying to get things on it done. The filter should be ok, the bike is pretty much brand new. Haven't really dug into it much cause it will shut down but it will crank back up and start just fine. Im gonna probably dig into it once i go to put a K&N air filter in it.

k'n'N wkd choice dude
try and miss the red lights and hit a long road or a country route
after a good run every thin will be fine
its possible it might be running rich (fuel and air ratios out) if it keeps cuttin at lights
dyno jets can map the whole power ratios tho and can sort that out
mabie get the extra power too
hope everythin goes ok
ill bikes suck![Frown](https://cbrforum.com/forum/images/smilies/frown.gif)
