Default Attaching your helmet to the bike

I have a 2006 CBR 600RR. It came with this strap that the sales guy told me was for securing my helmet to the bike. I can't figure out how to "lock up" my helmet when I leave the bike in a parking lot with this strap. Can anyone help me out with this?

Here is a novel idea...use the helmet strap attached to your shoulder..Around here...a helmet on a bike in a parking lot is gone...vanished...i never leave my helmet in a parking lot...unless im at the AMA Superbike...where everyone leaves their helmet...LOL

I just hang mine on my passenger peg. Most places I take my bike are safe from theft but if I'm somewhere not safe I park where I can see it.

The strap goes around the chin (through the visor) of your helmet, and the two ends hook underneath the seat. This eliminates the chance of someone cutting your helmet chinstrap and taking the helmet. The strap from honda is a braided metal cable---just a lil harder to cut.

It should be in the tool kit bag under the right mid fairing
