alarm?
Well im new to the bike world. I just bought a Honda cbr600 2007. I dont really live in a bad neighborhood but, still want to protect my investment. I did search on here and learn some good stuff about some alarms. y main question is pretty much whats a good alarm, and i think i got 2 in mind.
-Scorpio SR-i900 (and is this easy to install myself?)
or
- Cyclone (i hve read some bad stuff bout them too?)
Pretty much im looking for a two-way remote, with features like tilt sensor, and also any type of kill switch that will disable to bike. Now i know that if thief really wants your bike, they will get it, but i high doubt that situation for me
Does anyone own any of these, and if so are there any know problems with them?
Thans for the help.

i dont know of any bike alarms that are two way off the top of my head but you could throw a car alarm on there. viper or compustar are the best. but if you want to save some coin that any other DEI product (viper manufactor) will do such as python. most extra sensors like tilt sensor dont come with the product and cost extra. starter kill however should come with it.

I bought this one off of ebay

and my brother had this one off of ebay

They both work good, but I like mine better. Hope this helps!

You are comparing two different levels of alarms.
If you want just go all out and get the scorpio alarm. Its pretty easy to install with the right adapters. However two way pagers will drain your battery pretty fast.
Currently I use the cyclone alarm. It wasn't that hard to install and it works pretty well. What bad things have you heard?

Yes it will drain your battery but I was sort of referring to the two way pager battery. Sorry. Cyclone also offers a 2way pager, but you have to buy it separately. If you are looking at the cyclone I think you can get a 15% off by using the youtube coupon.
To me it came down to cost and functionality. The cyclone is a nice alarm. It has the tilt, sensitivity and ignition kill switch. I like the sensitivity the most, because when ever someone touchs the bike, it will chrip a few times warnning them. Plus it has a cool blue light lol. Personally, I didn't care too much about the two way pager because they all have very limited range.
If people really want to steal your bike they will. However you can make it hard for them. If you live in a high crime area, a alarm is just one of the things you need.
