Oh and about the ABS, from what I hear if you're going to the track then its just extra weight on the bike you don't need (somebody correct me if i'm wrong please). Honda intentions were to target newer riders with the abs to make the sport bike a little bit more appealing, however, an experienced rider/track go-er is going to use the brakes past the abs comfort
i don't know from experience but I think it might help on the track too, that is, if it works well enough, i think it would allow you to brake later and harder into a turn without fear of locking up the front while starting your turn in.

don't moto GP bikes have ABS on them as well as traction and wheelie control?

Awesome, thanks everyone for all the feedback!
Sounds like I'll have to see for myself about the ABS. That's a while from now though

I guess if all three machines are basically the same, then it comes down to color. All my gear is black.
The 09 has a black/grey version, but I like the black 07 better.
I do like the 09 red/white/blue, but that's probably not my style. The white 07 might work.
Another thing I like about the 07/08 is that the crankcase etc is exposed, making it that much easier to get to for maintenance.

Thanks again! I'll be in touch

I'mlooking into an 08 or 09 also. I don't like the extra fairing on the 09. It covers the engine. The local dealer already marked down the 081000rr's by $1000 off of msrp. If they do the same discount for the four 08 600's they have in the showroom I think I'll pull the trigger on the deal. 09 supposedly has a little added midrange but I'm not sure if those of us who don't write motorcycle reviews for a living could tell a difference.

Yep $1000 off msrp would be kinda hard to pass on for sure, but like suggested above be sure to check 07's esp 07's w all the goodies already done

About how much should I expect to pay for an 07?
I'm hoping to save at least 1 grand if it's not an 09.
Btw I really dig the white... drooooool...

If I had the spare change, I wouldn't think twice before buying this bike:

I paid $6900, but that's at a dealership, plus im in Canada. $6900 for an 07 up here is an amazing pricethey are usually around 9+
