The only "issue" I've ever heard of from oneother racer onthe 600rr was that the transmission is the weakest point, 2nd gear to be specific.
False neutral FTL! **** happened to me last time I was at Fontana and freaked me the **** out.

The 600RR IS a track bike. It's a street bike second.

My 600RR is slated for 95% track...maybe 5% street duty.

How about the F4I? I heard the cam chain tensioner sometimes failed, other than that is it reliable? They seem cheap enough, just need rearsets and the suspension set up and it would be an ok and reliable track bike, no?
The RR is a perfectly reliable track bike

The F4i is a great track bike once its set up properly, you definitely need rearsets and a good suspension set up (an aftermarket shock is important). The CCT doesn't really fail it just goes bad and the cam chain rattles around, it does need to be replaced but it would take a long time after going bad to actually do damage. Anyway, I've used my F4i for a LOT of trackdays and its been great other than a couple problems I caused. Its not quite as track ready as the RR stock but its definitely a fun bike when its set up, and actually surprisingly lightweight

Simply put...... it's a Honda. You'll be fine.
Exactly! That's really all you need to know. Hondas are much more reliable than Ducatis. Out here in So. Cal, there are plenty of Ducs, and plenty of them are in the shop for one reason or another. Hondas are rarely in the shop. Personally, in the last 40,000 Honda miles, the only failure was a bulb in the tail section of my VFR. That's it!
