I'm 6'1" and weight 165. I thought it was small at first, but these bikes are supposed to be small and nimble.
It's kind of like motorcycle jackets in a way. At first, you try them on, and your first impression is "Holy crap, they're freakin' tiny!". But that's the way they're supposed to be. Same goes for the bikes themselves......to a new rider, they may feel small, but then you get used to them (...........and then a car feels freaking HUGE)

The thing with motorcycles is that they're all pretty much the same size. Sure the seat height moves a bit, the bars move a bit, but fundamentally they are built for a rider... and since they're built either for jockeys (sportbikes) or the average joe if you're average size it'll work (otherwise you'll feel like some of us - a dog humping a foot ball).
In actual fact, the 250 probably has more leg room than the 600rr... it certainly has more comfortably placed bars.
So - go sit on the bike, if it feels good after an hour you'll be fine
