FYI for all...I just picked my bike up recently, used, it already had lojack installed. My one buddy is a philly cop and I asked him about lojack...his response was "f'in useless, we never find ANYTHING with lojack"

My neighbor also happens to be a cop in philly, he locks his bike to his fence with this hard core hand cuff looking thing...no bikes have been stolen but theives are defintely there because my car got got broken into on that same driveway...fortunately enough for me I only had a '95 zx-6, so no one ever felt the need to steel it.

Get an alarm, Most alarms now have a motion sensor and can monitor your electrical system if someone where to cut a wire. No matter what you do if someone wants your bike they will get it.

Theives look for the easiest target, if you have an alarm and your bike is disc locked and chained to something chances are they will find a bike less secured and leave yours be.

a guy i used to work with had his bike stolen from concord mills mall (very large high traffic area)
i'm guessing they threw it in a van, but sadly the mall planted a tree right in front of the only camera in the area it happened at so no footage

on a side note, a girl that worked there had a bf whose F4i got stolen...it was found later by police bc another bike with lojack was stolen and led them right to their "stockpile"

personally i lock my forks and put a lock on my front disc, but now i work at a dealer so i can pull it in the fence

nothing is theft proof. if someone wants something bad enough they will get it . especially if you park in the same place everyday. it just gives them more time to think of a plan.

The best thing to do is just park in a heavy traffic area or next to a security camera.

I agree with you there, but just hope they wont plant any trees in front of it and maybe change around your parking position every time.... hopefully that will help also.....
