Default 2007 Break in period?

So I have been riding my bike quite a bit for the past 3 days and I now have about 440 miles. A buddy told me he thought that the break in period was not to rev above 7,000 rpms before 600 miles. Do you guys remember what it was on the 07's? I bought the bike used with 91 miles friday so I'm taking it easy. It kinda sucks though because this little monster wants to breathe big time.

You want to vary your speed and RPM. You want to avoid long periods at the same RPM (highway riding) ride through your entire RPM range.

i bought my '07 with 0kms... and it was my first break in... done my research and there's more than 2 sides to this coin... so it's up to you to make up your own mind...
so here's what i did >> i took it easy for the first 20kms just cuz it was brand new tires and they be slippery as hell... i usually go around town for 10mins or so just to ease the bike and getting used to the new ride itself. after that i rode it in the back highway which is very minimal traffic around here, which means i got to change/vary my RPM between 4000 to 11,500 and used all 6 gears, also lots of chances to do engine breaking instead of your regular breaks...
i'm sitting at 750kms right now, and i just dropped it off to the stealership for it's first oil change/inspection. recommended was 1000kms but i figure the earlier i get rid of them metal chunks the better. but after this, i'm mostly doing all the minor maintenance myself to save me them moneys for mods.
hope that helps... like i said.. that's just what i did...
