If you are planning to get a cbr 1000 better get that REPSOL ed looks a lot better and they dont make many of them so you know whats really good...The six is fun and pretty easy to flick around the corners but according to honda the new 1000 have pretty good handling so whatever it is youll enjoy it

I use to have a 2005 cbr 600rr. I made a big mistake and sold it for a crf 450 motorcross

RE: 2007 600rr or 1000rr
I own an 06 600RR and also have an 06 1000RR that a friend bought & I'm keeping it in my hangar until he can get it shipped to west coast. So I've been ridin both for about 2 months now. Here's my take:
1000RR is darn fast straight line. The throttle is like an on/off switch - which I don't prefer. I don't particularly care for the HESD compared with 600RR without. Bike feels bigger & heavier even though it's only marginally so. The HESD makes the bike feel "artificial" when turning in especially at slower speeds. The handling of 1000RR is very good, but not the flickable perfection of the 600RR.
600RR is to me a perfect blend of speed & handling. Sure there's not the brutal instant acceleration in the lower RPMs. You have to wind it up to get to the max power/torque, but to me that's much more usable & preferred. I like having the option of where I want to run it, and not just "on/off". I like the raw feedback from no HESD. I like the lighter tossable feel of the 600RR.
This is my take. YMMV. Try em both if you can.

ORIGINAL: 05RR
First off, why in the hell would you tell this guy to wait for the '07 600RR? The thing looks like ****, yeah, it might run good, but it looks like **** and Honda's losing their touch, so...yes, the 600 is better for carving up the twisties, etc., and yes, the 1000 runs like a bat out of hell, better in a straight line...like everyone says, it's all about personal preference. I have an '05 600RR and absolutely love it to death, but, I'm also looking to turn it into a track bike and get a 1000RR just to dick around on, going 170+ down the highway is such an adrenaline rush.

RE: 2007 600rr or 1000rr
thanks for everyones comments. I know the 07 600rr is alot different looking. Do you think i will be able to put a integrarted tailight on it since the taillight looks so small? Im sticking with the 07 600rr i hear its going to be a nice bike with all the changes. Which color should i get red or black. Im planning on putting the black zero gavity windscreen as well as a yoshimura slip on or full exhaust and the intergrated tailight or fender eliminator kit. Thanks for your suggestions.
