2004 cbr 600RR vs 2006 zx6R
My freind has a 06 ninja 636 and I have the o4 cbr, a couple of days ago we having some fun and were racing, out of the launch i would immediatley pull about 2-4 lenghts average (he doesnt know how to launch the bike), unfortunately i wouldnt keep that lead for long because his bike was alot faster than mine, we are both the same weight, both bikes are stock but he cut his muffler off and has a straight pipe.... he wants to race me again, but unless i change some things, the outcome is going to be the same, he will just blow by me in no time.... what mods can i do in a short amount of time (less than a week) so that he wont blow by me so hard so i can keep my lead. clearly he doesnt know how to drive his bike very well, so the bike beat me, not the driver
I was thinking changing the gears, like putting a 15 sporcket in front, how much will that help?

i get all my gearing goods from www.sprocketcenter.com from brian...
your speedo will be off by like 7%...or so...
overall, 636 is just a faster bike period...and has more motor too.

yes a minimal amount, but it will give you a little more torque so be a touch harder to keep the front wheel down so u will learn how to launch again after you change your sprockets, what you need to do, is add full exhuast, air filter, stacks, and a pcIII, and get it custom tuned and relearn the bike, then after taht you will have a better chance, yes i know it will cost you some money but like others said you are 2 years behind with a 636 that just basically has more motor power so either put some easy add ons, or get into the motor which is alot more work, or just get a 1000RR.. and take of the stickers haha, good luck
