Default 2003 Blow Motor

OK...
I just purchased a 2003 600RR this week and just yesterday I got the tag.
This morning I drive to work and it just stopped....NO F'ING OIL.
Right now I'm mad/pissed/depressed [&o]

My mistake by not checking...anyway I'm looking for an engine.
Will a 05 fit? There's one on ebay right now and he's an hour drive away from me.

Wow that really sucks sorry to hear what happened. What I would do is get in contact with the seller who sold you the bike. Who sells a bike with no oil in it? To be honest that seems like a set up to me, unless you changed the oil and somehow forgot to put fresh oil back in. Demand your money back ASAP. Take him to court or something. I mean it is partially your fault for not checking the oil but when someone buys a car/ bike I think everyone assumption is that oil is in it, it just needs to be changed.

Yes, the 05 motor will bolt in, but you MUST have the ECU, Throttlebodies and airbox from the 05 as well.

But I would definitely check the Lemon Laws for your state. It's different from state to state and most states Lemon laws don't cover private sales, only dealer sales. But it's worth a shot.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!

How is the bike a lemon if the guy didnt put oil in it??

What is a Lemon?
A vehicle that continues to have a defect that substantially impairs its use, value, or safety. Generally, if the car has been repaired 4 or more times for the same Defect within the Warranty Period and the Defect has not been fixed, the car qualifies as a Lemon. All States differ so you should consult the Lemon Law Summary and the State Statutes for your particular State. Note that the warranty period may or may not coincide with the Manufacturer's Warranty.

Your bike wasn't a lemon. It had no oil. Thats just stupidity. When you $ the bike, did you even look at anything. Id say the blame is on the Buyer. You should have done your homework.

Sorry bro...

My only question is whether or not you bought it at a dealership. If you just purchased it from a dealership used, maybe you have a fighting chance with a replacement engine, and if not, you are probably out of luck.
