I'm not a "new" rider... but I guess you could say my 07' 600rr is my first "crotch rocket" bike. Anyways... I've almost rolled over the 7000 mile marker since I bought it with just under 1. Not too shabby for being gone out on buisness for 2 months worth of time. The only thing I've had happen was trying to walk the bike up a steep incline, with new shoes, on new black-top, in the ain... my feet kicked out from under me and the bike fell on it's side. Oh man I was pissed... first bike I've ever dropped (dirtbikes don't count.). It put a VERY small scratch in the back sticker, and a few tiny swirl marks on the clutch lever. No bending, and nothing broken. Amazing, since I didn't have my sliders on at the time.
