Default 07 head light question

i would like both of my headlights to be as bright as the brights, please dont get offended when i say i ride with my brights on at all times, i live in a huge motorcycle populated town and EVERYONE does so im not the only "A-hole" who does it, i like to been seen, so can someone please tell me what i need todo to make them the same, do i just change out that lamp to the same wattage as the brights? and am i going to have problems with blowing a fuse at that point. ??? Please help.
I would like both lights to be the same wattage and same positioning, what do i need to do, and i already have them postioned in the same spot one is just not as bright as the other.
Thanks
JZ

First off you're not a dick for riding with your high beam on. I always ride with it on. I don't care if I **** someone off because that means they saw me and if they see me the won't hit and kill me and that is what is important. Plus I don't like the look of only one light on but safety trumps looks. I believe that the high beam and low beam are the exact same light. It is how the internals of the headlight reflects the light that makes it brighter so it is not just as easy as replacing the light bulb and being done with it or a lot more people would do it. I would just ride with your brights on cause you're not being an ***.

yeah there are adjuster screws on the back of the headlight that you can use to aim the bulb up and down and left and right which will help a little bit. So you could aim your low beam up more or aim your high beam down more (which i wouldnt suggest and doesnt sound like what you want to do) and the brightness will look a little more equal. But like rdub said the reflectors for the high beam and low beam are the big difference so its near impossible to make them perfectly even, youd have to buy projectors and bi-xenons for that. A couple turns of that adjuster screw to aim your low beam up more should make you happy though.

I always ride with my highs on, most people I know do that. It may or may not **** off others, but at least they see u.... Like previously stated, either ride with your highs on or just get projectors.
