Default '07 and '08 CBR600

Hi Guys,
I'm new to this Forum. I did a search and didn't find anything, even though I'm sure it's been covered.
My question is this.
I'm thinking about getting an '07 (if I can still find one) or an '08 CBR 600RR. Are there any differences besides the paint scheme?
The reason I'm asking is that on the Honda website, it shows slight differences on the rake and trail.
I'll be using this bike for fun canyon riding, track daysand maybe racing.
Thanks,

You've got it.. same bike different trail and rake. thats it. oh of course the different paint schemes but blahhh.

If you can find an 07' save yourself the money else have fun with the '08!!!

Thanks for the reply.
Have you or anyone else ridden both? What I'm trying to find out is, does the '07 handle any better than an '08 or vice a versa?

Thanks.

No difference that you would notice. Small... I mean so small spec's change. The new colors go faster.

My good buddy has a Grafitti 08. I have a black/red 07. I couldn't tell any difference between the two bikes. Now, the difference between an 06 and an 07 you would have to measure in MILES. I'm considering buying another 07 specifically for the track.

The difference between the 2 is incredibly small. I wouldsay even an experienced track rider would have trouble feeling the difference.

-.15degree Rake difference
1.4mm Trail difference

^^ And even then most track riders setup the suspension to their weight and personal preferences anyway............so the factory rake/trail differences would mean nothing.

Yup... in all real aspects, it's the same bike... minus paint. Get the one you like or that fits your budget best!

(Oh... and the 08's get more powdercoating)
