Sorry to bust your bubble, but the H.E.S.D. never came as OEM on the 600. As a matter of fact, no 600rr has ever come from the factory with a H.I.S.S. installed. Why? There is no need for one on the street. now if you track a lot, THEN it'd be worth it but the steering geometry of the 600rr just doesn't warrant an OEM application.

This is true. But as for not needing one on a 600cc bike. I have come out of corners hard on my 600 and almost tank slapped (I'd say) probaly about 8 times now. 3 of them were full out tank slaps and i was lucky to get control before the next turn.
I think its great that they finally put one on the 600RR
