Default Whoops accidetly broke something

So I decided I wanted to take off my grips because the end pieces didn't seem very secure they just sit on the grips with a nut on the inside. So I got the passenger side off with no problem and noticed that there are two notches on the bars that looks like you could secure a grip to but they are vertical but no horizontal...not sure what is up with that. So I went to the drive side and attempted to take it off before I knew it I broke the throttle tube :*( OH ****!!!!! Suggestions guys? What exactly do I need to buy and I will get some pics today so you can see exactly what I mean.

Well it sounds like you need a new throttle tube. That I don't have a spare of sorry, other then that are you trying to get new grips? If you have an air compressor readily available to you it is much easier to get your grips on and off of the clip-ons. If not, like me then you just gotta pull and slowly work them off, or just cut the grips off.

Found it. Cheap fix, just mad that I broke it lol. What I did to get the grips off was this.

(Worked like a dream btw)

I hooked it up to a drill though and let it spin around twice and than started pulling is it spun around. My only question left now is what is the proper way to secure the end of the grips to the handlebars? I see it has a allen bolt but the nut just kind of sits in there it's not secured.

Ha! that's brilliant! Do you have the OEM Clip-ons? if so they should have bar weights in then and the bar end should bolt into there. If you have aftermarket ones the bar ends should have come with something attached to those bar-ends that expands and provides friction against the inside of the clip-on. Actually, now that I think about it, those holes you found were to hold the bar weights in so you probably dont have those. Your life wont end without bar ends if you don't want them but ebay will have the universal bar ends you can use. Or someone on here might have a way of fastening them on. good luck.
