well i layed my bike over a few weeks ago, no major damage just a broken turn signal and scratched fairng on the right side. but ever since there has been this weird rattleing/buzzing sound coming from around the gauge cluster, but it only happens when i get the rpm's over 5K. im not sure if its the gauge cluster or something below it that i just can't see but its starting to drive me nuts. other than the sound my bike runs like normal and havent seen any problem with performance. so im hoping someone may have had this problem before and might be able to help.

 

I had a loose bolt on my front fender one time that made a similar noise. Couldn't find it for weeks!

 

You have a loose bolts/nut combo. Check to make sure everything is tightened down. Otherwise your guage cluster might have a cut in the wiring harness and electricity is jumping from the guage cluster to the frame, causing an electrical current that could in fact electrocute you and you could die. So tighten those bolts!

 

hopefully its not your cam chain tensioner. those tend to go bad alot.
