Default Valve Cover

Hey all,

I have finally got everything I need to get my bike back together. Things are going very smooth so far.

The guy who I had powdercoat my valve cover, took the underside apart. There was a gasket underneath a plate on the inside of the valve cover. He broke that gasket removing this plate. I will get some pictures if needed when I get off work.

Does anyone know what this plate and gasket is technically called? Also can anyone tell me where I can go about buying another one? That is all I'm lacking from putting this bad girl back together and riding next week!

Thank you so much in advance!

Tommy

Its for crankcase ventilation. I don't think you can get the gasket separately. You may need to make one from gasket paper. Trace the cover and cut it out.... just like in 2nd grade. A hole punch make good holes.

^^^ It's funny my mate has just done the same thing on his track bike and worked a treat I was amazed tbh as I thought there would be gaps but it looked and is great. Good idea I'd have never have thought of doing it!

Just wanted to keep an update on the progress of my top end rebuild. Got the valve cover issues worked out. Thank you so much guys!

I readjusted all my valves (all 16 valves are new) and got the cams back on. Was putting the cam holder back on. As I was hand tightening all of the bolts, 2 of them broke off. No socket on them. Just my fingers. So I am set back again.
