Default Unleaded or Super Unleaded?? F4

Hi all, been searching threads and cant really find a definitive answer. I Have a 2000 F4. Ive been puting normal unleaded in and everything is fine.
I was reading that super unleaded has no Ethanol in it as ethanol is bad for older carb'd engines.

What is the general consensus on Regular vs Super unleaded - will i get any actual benfits with super??

Also read about Seafoam, is it worth doing every 6 months or so to keep carbs clean???

Cheers.

The ethanol content in the fuel varies by brand and location. Regular unleaded is what it was designed to run on. So, unless you have made some modifications that would require higher octane fuel, regular is fine and probably better for it.

The best way to keep a carb clean is to keep filtered fuel going through it. However, Seafoam is good stuff and I don't think it would hurt to run a little through every now and then.

All you needed to do was ask which oil was best and you would have hit the trifecta of highly debatable topics.
+1 on what Demon said.

Thanks for the info. Much appreciated. I couldnt find what fuel in the service manual.

Oil wise Ive been through numerous posts and i have bookmarked - Motul 7100 4T 10W-40 fully synthetic - and a Hiflofiltro HF303 Oil Filter, as the good stuff.

Cheers

There should be a label on the bike that says what fuel to use. Mine is in the trunk on the side of the undertail.
