Hi All,

Only just joined after purchasing a 1999 CBR600f a few weeks back. Have been sorting a few bits out on the bike, like the melted coolant bottle.

I have moved the fuel tank to fit a gear indicator and in doing so the fuel hose from the tank to filter has split. This has soaked the foam underneath the tank.

Can anyone tell me what this foam is for please and if it needs replacing should I remove it.

it's my understanding it's for vibration reduction.
