Default tyre advice

must have been asked a thousand times b4 but as new to this and have just got a 2001 600f was wondering what tyres to get or more importantly what to avoid, mainly fair weather rider looking for sticky but longish lasting and above average in the wet, is there such a thing? any suggestions will be very much appreciated. was thinking BT14s or mezeler sportecs. cheers.

BT012 SS -- I got 5000 miles on the current set and they are just now starting to show flat in the middle.

i run the bt-014s and they are great in all condition and tread wear seems better than average. had a set of sportec m1's and loved them till they wore out after 2500 miles. great tires, crappy wear rate. i would recommend the bridgestones or a set of pilot powers. a couple buddies use them and they will probably be my next set.

Actually, I got a set of pilot powers ready to go on -- bought them for cheap when the 012ss were still babies. The pilot powers will have to be damn good for me to completely switch brands though. I've had great experience with the bridgestones -- just heard so much about the pilots that I gots to try 'em.

I`ll second the Bridgestones, there a good all round tyre. The 014`s are good too, for general fast road riding.
