Tutorial: Mounting F4i gauge on F4 using F4 stay and upper fairing
I had to have a digital gauge but I didnt want to do an upper fairing or fairing stay swap. So heres what I did.
Items needed
F4i gauge
Hose clamps
Drill
Drill bits
Screws
and Duh a F4 !!!! (sorry for the pic resolution its from my iPhone )
Now what I did was drill a hole in the 2 hose clamps.
Completely unscrewed the clamps and screw them to the Gauge. Then just put the clamp back together going around the lil thing and tighten it up. Voila all done !!!
With fairing and shield on
Yes it is extremely sturdy. I tried moving it bcuz it was crooked the first time and the SOB would not move not even a bit !!!!

I didnt wanna do the F4i swap either so I "made it work".
The wiring was easy. People say the colors just match up but some of the colors are slightly off. I just use the F4 and the F4i schematics. That made it so easy. Instead of trying to match up similar colors I matched up what the wires was for and said FV<k matching the colors. It was all pretty easy !!!!!!
