Default Track fairings

Hey guys and gals,
I'll be doing my first track day soon. Now I have just finished respraying my stock fairings and don't want to take them on track. I have an old set of rashed fairings that need some repair work before they go on. Just wondered if anybody's done this and how they filled the light hole in and make it look good bikes a 600 fx 99.
Also while am on the subject of track days has anyone ever made there own crash bobbins I heard that you can use old skate board wheels.

hi Smithy,

I know somebody who used skateboard wheels and they shattered on impact.

The material was to brittle, you can normally get a decent set for about £40 GBP on Ebay.

Just stay clear of the acetyl material ones as these ones i know crack or chip on impact.

Hope this helps!

theres a couple ways you could fill in the hole for the headlight. get a sheet of plastic, heat it with a heat gun, shape it over the hole then weld it to the uppers with a soldering iron then sand it smooth.
another way would be to fill it in using fiber glass. get a block of foam or something then shape it so it fits where the headlight would go, then put a few layers of fiber glass over that, then remove the foam and sand smooth.

these are just a couple ways that i can think of off the top of my head. anyone feel free to edit/add to them.
