Default Throttle sticks

I have a 2000 F4 and the throttle sticks. This is my first sport bike and I have to pull the throttle back it does not come back on its own. I wouldnt think that is normal for this bike? I have drove a couple cruisers and never had this problem.

Check the bar end on your throttle side, make sure its in the proper slot and then loosen or tighten until you get the response you want, if you loosen it, make sure you check the tightness or looseness at stops. Also maybe check the grips, new ones maybe? If not maybe the throttle cable is malfunctioning, just a few things to consider.

Thabks ddvs, I loosened the bar ends and now it is fine. I also bought some new grips but I dont have them on yet. Didnt think the throttle should be sticking like that but someone told me thats how CBR's are......guess I should have asked someone that has actually rode one first.

hey man i had this same exact prob. heres what u do... take off the rubber grip, unscrew the top half of your engine on/off switch (2 screws) then slide the white plastic part basically off the black metal bar. U kinda gotta work with it like bend it downwards for it to start slidin off. Its cuz there is some gunk between the 2 causin friction. Go down to AutoZone and get a 3dollar thing of gear grease and lube in between those 2 parts. should snap back to the closed positon better than before. Its either that or look to see if your throttle cables and kinked anywhere. Hope this helps.

Who ever told you that CBR's throttle sticks is a complete hater! According to that statement to you, he is trying to say that our CBR's havn't won Supermoto and Superbike Championships multiple times, especially by the infamous Rossi. Final thoughts are he/she has NO idea what he/she is talking about. Who told you that a GSX rider? or a Harry Baldson rider?
